Gehad Abdel Nasser is an award-winning film director, storyteller, and visual artist based in Dubai.
Born in Cairo in 1985, Gehad comes from a distinguished artistic lineage. His grandfather, Ahmed Diaa El-Din, was one of Egypt’s pioneering film directors, leaving a lasting mark on the golden era of Egyptian cinema. Raised in a family of visual artists and filmmakers, Gehad’s creative journey was shaped early on by a deep appreciation for storytelling, image-making, and emotional truth.
A graduate of the High Cinema Institute at the Academy of Arts in Cairo, Gehad specialized in animation and filmmaking—merging two of his core passions. His work blends live-action performance with animation and visual effects, resulting in a personal and emotionally resonant visual language that sets him apart in the region.
In 2014, Gehad received the PROMAXBDA Global Excellence Silver Award for Best News/Information Program Spot for MBC Egypt’s “Broad Lines & Useful Sentences.” This recognition marked a milestone in a career defined by innovation, artistry, and emotional depth.
Based in Dubai, Gehad has directed a wide range of content—from TV commercials and brand promos to documentaries and corporate films—for many of the Middle East’s leading networks and agencies. His work is known for its cinematic eye, emotional clarity, and intentional storytelling. Every frame he creates is crafted to resonate—long after the screen fades to black.
